12:43 a.m. Thursday — Donte A. Brandon, 18, of Butler was arrested after allegedly threatening his mother with a knife during a domestic dispute at their apartment on Spring Street.According to court documents, Mandy Brandon told police that her son came home drunk and struck her on the right ear as they argued. Later, he pointed a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her, police said. The woman apparently was not injured.Brandon was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats and simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail.

3 a.m. Tuesday — Jeffery Wayne Watts, 41, of Fredericksburg, Va., was arrested after an altercation with police on Erie Street near Gear Raceway. Watts was arraigned on charges of obstructing police, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.

July 23 — Shayna M. McDowell, 28, of Butler and Alonzo J. Fleischer, 18, of Butler Township were arrested on felony drug charges in separate cases.McDowell is accused of selling 10 stamp bags of heroin March 20 in Butler. She was arraigned on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, and released on her own recognizance.Probation officers, meanwhile, found Fleischer with 86 stamp bags on heroin after they showed up July 23 at his home on Hopewell Avenue. He was arraigned on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail.

2:45 p.m. Thursday — A Mercer County man was hurt when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving rolled over on Patton Road just north of Deer Road in Marion Township. Floyd E. Pisor, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries.Pisor, according to police, was cited for numerous unspecified traffic violations.7:10 a.m. Thursday — Richard P. Kosanovic suffered unknown injuries when he lost control of his pickup truck and struck a guardrail on Route 308 just north of Leeward Drive in Center Township. The truck ended on top of the guardrail. Police blamed the wreck on the wet road.4:20 p.m. Wednesday — Ruth S. Guterry, 18, of West Sunbury was hurt when the pickup she was driving struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Route 308 just south of Holbein Lane in Center Township. Guterry, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. Police said she was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.7 p.m. July 26 — Two Beaver County men were ticketed after a three-vehicle wreck on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. The crash happened when a pickup truck driven by Nikolas M. Gratteri, 18, of Baden struck the back of a minivan. In turn, another pickup driven by Christopher B. Callahan, 23, of Beaver Falls rear-ended Gratteri's truck.Moments before the first rear-end collision, Jeffrey D. Crouse, 46, of Gibsonia, who was driving the minivan, was slowing for traffic in front of him. Police said Gratteri and Callahan were both cited for driving too fast for conditions.12:40 p.m. July 22 — A vehicle driven by Donald W. Habbyshaw, 49, of Pittsburgh backed up into a car on Herman Road just east of Schnur Road in Summit Township. Police said Habbyshaw was cited for improper backing. Troy A. Dunmire, 42, of Kittanning was driving the car.

11:29 p.m. Thursday — Richard A. Dematteis, 49, of Boyers lost control of his car and crashed into a road sign in the median between the off-ramp and Interstate 80 in Shenango Township. The car traveled down a steep embankment, through an area of heavy brush and ended at the bottom of a deep ravine.Police said Dematteis, who apparently fell asleep at the wheel, was cited for a lane violation.
