2:19 a.m. Thursday — Timothy A. Uncapher, 25, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence after making an illegal turn on red.11:30 a.m. Wednesday — A 2004 Toyota Celica driven by Wendy L. Shoaf of Butler was hit by an unknown vehicle when she tried to make a turn from South Main Street to West Penn Avenue. The unknown red vehicle turned from West Penn Street onto Main Street when it struck Shoaf's front driver's side bumper.10:32 a.m. Tuesday — A truck driven by Sta Huffman, 36, of McConnellsville, Ohio, and a car driven by Kathy Olenic, 60, of Butler Township collided on Center Avenue.
4:02 a.m. Wednesday — Edgar Padilla, 37, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was unable to make a curve on Winfield Road in Winfield Township, causing him to hit a tree in the woods. The 1999 Kia Sephia had moderate damage, and Padilla, who was wearing his seatbelt, had moderate injuries. Two passengers were lifeflighted to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries.8:30 a.m. Wednesday — Amanda Cousins, 22, of Butler lost control of her 1996 Ford Taurus while making a turn on Mahood Road in Clay Township and struck two trees. Cousins suffered minor injuries.7:06 p.m. Wednesday — Jason Westerman, 32, of Conneaut Lake lost control of the 2005 Peterbuilt truck he was driving southbound on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township after striking a tire in the road. That caused a fuel line to break and leak diesel fuel on the road between mile marker 96 and 88. Harmony Volunteer Fire Department, PennDOT, the Department of Environmental Protection and RB's Towing assisted at the scene.12:15 a.m. Thursday — Patrick Kemery, 40, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence after a traffic violation for failing to stop at a blinking red light on New Castle Road, near Wal-Mart, in Butler Township.7:30 a.m. Tuesday — An unknown person broke into a Chicora Block Co. trailer in Donegal Township and took a Dell computer, a TV with VCR and $20 in coins.5 p.m. Sunday — Alan Courson, 46, of Butler violated a PFA order when he contacted Jessie Courson, 38, of Butler, at their place of employment in East Butler. Alan Courson was arraigned by District Judge Lewis Stoughton and placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,000 bond.10:52 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Lindsay Enscoe, 22, of Petrolia and a tractor-trailer driven by Steven Reed, 56, of Oil City collided on Route 422 in Summit Township. Enscoe, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Monday — About $200 in change was taken between Friday and Monday in a burglary at the Rader School Road home of Eric Pedersen in Forward Township.1:58 a.m. Sunday — David Matson, 29, of Butler was arrested for violating a court-issued protection from abuse order at the Volkswood Drive home of Rachelle Brown in Center Township.12:15 a.m. Friday — Matthew Organ, no age given, of Prospect was arrested for driving under the influence at Route 68 and Acre Avenue in Butler Township.
7:15 p.m. Wednesday — Denver Recupero, 56, of Kittanning suffered major injuries after his vehicle failed to make a curve while driving north on Route 3007 in North Buffalo Township. Recupero struck a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville driven by Sharon Goldinger, 59, of Freeport head on. Recupero was flown to Allegheny General Hospital, and Goldinger, who also suffered major injuries, was flown to Presbyterian Hospital. Recupero will be cited for driving within a single lane.3:28 a.m. Monday — About 150 packs of Marlboro cigarettes were taken in a burglary at the Tic Toc Food Mart on Ellwood Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Police said the thief used a brick to break out the front glass door and enter the store.Saturday — Two handguns, currency and coins were taken between noon and 4 p.m. in a burglary at the Center Church Road home of Henry Cross in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
