EC man is charged after allegedly making threats
FREEDOM — An Evans City man is facing charges in Beaver County after allegedly talking in a threatening manner to a district judge employee and another woman.
Jeremy M. Flood, 42, of Evans City faces felony charges of terroristic threats and criminal use of a communication facility, as well as misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats, three counts of harassment and three counts of disorderly conduct following the Nov. 5 incident.
According to the criminal complaint filed Friday by the Freedom Police Department, a woman came to the station saying she had asked Flood to leave her residence and that she was seeking an emergency protection from abuse order. At that point, Flood allegedly began sending threatening messages to the woman, including one indicating he was going to kill her.
Officers contacted Flood, and advised him of the consequences if he continued to contact the woman. He asked if he could retrieve items from the home, and was told to contact the district judge to do so. Flood made contact with the constable in charge, and also allegedly called the woman three more times. The complaint states he took an “aggressive position” during these calls.
The complaint states Flood called the district judge office in Freedom and allegedly asked an employee there, “if she knew what a .357 or .38 was,” according to the complaint. He also allegedly continued yelling about the situation until the victim hung up and notified officials about the conversation.
Flood is being held in Butler County Prison, where he is awaiting extradition and arraignment in Beaver County.
