Pirates snap no-hitter, rally
MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Adrian Hauser had a no-hitter through six innings Tuesday night, leaving the game with one out in the seventh and a 4-0 lead over the Pittsburgh Pirates at Miller Park.
The Pirates touched reliever Daniel Norris for five runs in the seventh frame to take the lead. Kevin Newman had a run-scoring double and Hoy Park a three-run double to highlight the rally.
Willy Adames led the Brewers' early surge with a home run and double. Avisail Garcia contributed two hits and a pair of RBI. Garcia added an RBI double to tie the game in the seventh.
Hauser walked five in his six innings of work and was removed from the game due to pitch count.
Pirate starter Max Kranick lasted only four innings, striking out four and walking three. He allowed five hits.
Duane Underwood Jr. took over the mound duties for Kranick.
Tuesday's game ended too late for press time.
