BUFFALO TWP — A lucky lottery player is $3.2 million richer after having bought the winning ticket at a township convenience store.

The win energized both store workers and regular lottery players.

The Par Mar (Citgo) along Route 356 opposite Freeport High School will share in the wealth, earning $10,000 for selling the winner.

Manager Pam Isenberg said she isn’t sure how the store will use the money. She said those decisions are made by her superiors.

Isenberg said the atmosphere was brightened by the win. “A lot of our customers are coming in and are excited,” she said.

The Pennsylvania Lottery announced Tuesday that the winning ticket for Monday’s Match 6 Lotto jackpot was sold there.

The ticket correctly matched all six winning numbers, 02-07-14-15-32-36, for a jackpot of $3.2 million, less taxes.

The lottery’s website said the odds on winning the jackpot are 1 in 4,661,272 plays.

The lottery has a Winner’s Handbook on its website with information on claiming the prize, including a heavy emphasis on signing the ticket immediately.

“Each lottery ticket is a bearer document, which means it is legally owned by the person possessing it, at least until it is signed,” according to the handbook.

It also recommends talking with an attorney and hiring a financial adviser.

The handbook also includes some scams that have been pitched to winners.

Isenberg said the store has a number of regular customers who could have won.

“We are a smaller store,” she said. “We have our regulars who are faithful.” She said she can imagine how that much money could change someone’s life. If it were her, she said she would travel more and help her family.

Isenberg said no one has come in claiming to have won, and she can only hope the money stays in the community.

“We have no idea who it is,” Isenberg said. “We’re hoping it’s someone local and is someone who needs it.”
