Thanksgiving at vo-tech
Culinary students at Butler County Vocational-Technical School served up a Thanksgiving feast to about 120 people Wednesday. Mike Barczak, culinary instructor, said the event was a team-building exercise for the program's 84 students, who put on three separate meals. “This is a good way of getting our more experienced students working with our younger students to get them some leadership skills,” Barczak said. It's also a way to have students who are new to food service interact with the public. Above, customers fill their plates. At right, student Ian Thompson pours on the gravy.
