CENTER TWP — Two people were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital after their car overturned along Route 8 Wednesday night.

Chief Nathan Wulff of the Unionville Volunteer Fire Company said the occupants, a man and a woman, whose names were not available, were conscious.

“They were alert,” Wulff said.

He said the woman sustained moderate injuries from the accident, which was reported in an 8:53 p.m. 911 call.

Route 8 was closed for 15 minutes after emergency crews arrived at the scene just south of the Starlight Drive-In, then one-way traffic was alternated.

Crews cleared the scene at 9:41 p.m.
