Friends of the Library slates used book sale
SAXONBURG — Friends of South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St., will host its Spring Used Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Thousands of books will be on display inside the library at a cost of $5 to fill a grocery bag. Bags are provided and all library rooms will be full of tables filled with books in every genre imaginable — romance, action, thriller, cooking, faith, gardening, history, biography, young adult and children’s books.
During the sale children can enjoy reading in the "Cool Reading Nook" created by the empty milk jugs donated by community members. Children can also select a challenge to do from the Children's Room activity table.
Tickets will also be on sale for the library's upcoming "Tee Off Fore the Library" indoor mini golf that will be built in the library April 22 and 23. Fairway Frolic Happy Hour tickets for the event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, includes unlimited golf, snacks, a complimentary drink and cash bar,
Links at the Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 23 is a family-friendly day of golf for both children and adults. Tickets will also be on sale with children 5 years old and younger playing for free.
This fundraiser also includes a basket raffle featuring a variety of theme baskets on display during the book sale.
