3:49 a.m. Sunday — John Tirk, 29, of Butler was arrested outside an East Patterson Avenue home for violating a court-issued protection from abuse orderPolice said Tirk called the home of Jennifer Perry, 29, several times earlier in the evening in violation of the PFA. He then appeared outside Perry's home when a police officer was taking her complaint.The defendant allegedly began fighting with police when they tried to arrest him, and at one point police had to use pepper spray. Turk was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest and indirect criminal contempt, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.

11:36 a.m. Sunday — Amini-van driven by Laura Patterson, 19, of Cabot and a sport utility vehicle driven by Evaline Swartzlander, 80, of Sarver collided on Route 356 near the Planet Mart in Winfield Township. Patterson was cited for careless driving.1:45 a.m. Sunday — An unknown driver's car struck a sign and large rock along Main Street in Connoquenessing. The driver walked away from the disabled car after the crash.11 p.m. Saturday — Dennis Feltz, 25, accidentally shot himself in the foot while cleaning his father's .45-caliber pistol at his Seneca Drive home in Forward. Feltz was treated for his injury at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.10:26 p.m. Saturday — Benson Hoover, 52, of Valencia was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 8 in Middlesex Township.11 a.m. Saturday — Warren Green, 20, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly fought with troopers at his parents' home on Kaiser Road in Summit Township.Police had been called to the house after Green began arguing with his father, James Green, 48. The younger Green had earlier been told not to return to the house. The defendant is charged with resisting arrest, trespass and two counts of disorderly conduct.5 a.m. Saturday — Thomas McClaine, 46, of Petrolia was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 43-year-old woman at a High Street home in Petrolia. McClaine is charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.Friday — Two 15-year-old boys, who police did not identify, are suspected of stealing a Sony PSPand Apple iPod from fellow students at the Slippery Rock High School in Slippery Rock Township. The thefts occurred between March 27 and Friday.Thursday — An unidentified vehicle struck three trees and a wooden flower box at the Oneida Valley Road home of Erica Thompson in Venango Township. The unknown driver did not stop following the crash between 5:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.March 27 — Several lawn decorations and ornaments were taken between March 25 and 27 from the William Flinn Highway home of Joseph Walsh in Slippery Rock TownshipMarch 24 — A4-by-2-foot steel pipe was stolen between March 1 and 24 from the Dingel Road home of Donald Dingel in Clay Township.

Friday — Several undisclosed items were taken between 10:15 p.m. Thursday and 3 a.m. Friday in a burglary at Ken's Bait Shop in Toby Township, Clarion County.
