4:05 p.m. Wednesday — Nicholas A. Massella, 22, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend on Spooner Drive. He was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and later placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail.

Feb. 21 — A man on probation was arrested after he was allegedly found with drugs and other contraband at his home in Butler.

The defendant, Joshua M. McBride, 26, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

County probation officers making a visit to his home in the 300 block of South Monroe Street found him with three unopened packages of Suboxone, for which he did not have a prescription, according to court documents.

Additionally, he was found with empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, a used hypodermic needle, spoon and crack pipe.
