Karns City baseball remains unbeaten

David Black drove in five runs with a home run and double to lead the Karns City baseball team to an 11-1 six-inning victory over Union Saturday afternoon.

The host Gremlins followed up that contest with a 10-0, five-inning victory over Moniteau as Scott Jordan struck out eight, walked two and allowed just one hit.

In the 11 innings of work, Josh Smith and Jordan combined to strike out 17 batters, walk four and allow three hits.

With the wins, Karns City stays perfect at 12-0 overall, 11-0 in the KSAC.

In other action:

Nick Hull doubled and singled and was the winning pitcher in Seneca Valley's 7-3 victory over Baldwin.

Clay Kohlmeyer homered, singled, scored a pair of runs and drove home four more, but Moniteau lost to Clarion-Limestone, 9-7.

Butler mustered just two hits in a 10-0, five-inning loss to Plum. No other details were available.
