1:30 p.m. Tuesday - An unidentified vehicle traveling north on Eagle Mill Road slid off the road and went through a small yard, striking a 2003 Ford Taurus parked about four-tenths of a mile north of Whitestown Road in Connoquenessing Township. The owner of the car has not been identified. The vehicle then fled the scene. Minor damage was reported to the Taurus and police are asking anyone with information to call 724-284-8100.5:15 p.m. Monday - A car driven by Leslie Ann Underwood, no age given, of Pittsburgh crashed on Interstate 79 North in Worth Township after she lost control of her vehicle. She struck a guide rail before stopping. Underwood was not injured and was wearing her seatbelt.1:45 a.m. Sunday - Anthony Durso, 19, of Slippery Rock was charged with driving under the influence after he collided with another car at West Cooper and Main Streets in Slippery Rock. Police said Durso appeared to be intoxicated when they came to take the accident report so he was given a breathalyzer test, which he failed. He also was charged with a traffic signal violation. The operator of the other vehicle left the scene after receiving Durso's insurance information and before police arrived.9:40 a.m. Sunday - John Oesterling, no age given, of Orchard Lane struck a pedestrian, Robert Bland, 23, of Butler, at the intersection of State Route 8 and Mercer Road. Bland was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and treated for minor injuries. Oesterling was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.1:25 a.m. Saturday - Cars driven by Keith Moore, 18, of Saxonburg and Jennifer Thornton, 22, of Cabot collided on State Street in Saxonburg Borough after police said Moore failed to slow down for Thornton and struck her. Neither driver, nor a passenger in Thornton's car, 8-month-old Meghan Thornton, were injured.
