6:10 p.m. Monday — Belinda Gall, 39, and her son, Ryan Muma, 18, both of Harmony, were charged with retail theft after they allegedly stole five items from Walmart. Gall and Muma allegedly did not scan the items, valued at nearly $94, at the self checkout. Gall, who had a previous theft charge at the store, also is facing charges of misdemeanor defiant trespass.

9:30 a.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Jenna M. Stone, 29, of Chicora struck a utility pole on Route 68 near its intersection with Summit Avenue in Chicora.Stone, who had three young children in the truck, told police she had to swerve to avoid a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lane.No one was injured in the crash, but Stone's truck had to be towed.12:20 a.m. Friday — Icy roads were blamed when a pickup truck driven by Ethan A. Rensel, 24, of Portersville crashed into an embankment on Burton Drive in Brady Township. Rensel told police his truck lost traction and slid through the intersection of Barkley Road.

9:05 a.m. Jan. 9 — A car driven by Jessica A. Smith, 23, of Rochester, Pa., rolled over multiple times after it slid into a ditch along Route 258 in Liberty Township, Mercer County.Smith lost control of her car driving in the snow. The vehicle began to spin counterclockwise across the road before rolling down the ditch.Smith, who was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries to her fingers but refused medial treatment. Her car was towed.9:26 a.m. Friday — Russell A. Britton, 48, of Columbus, Ohio, was arrested after police allegedly found multiple false driver's licenses and credit cards on him during a traffic stop along Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County.Britton was charged with 15 counts of identity theft, as well as providing false identification to law enforcement.He was originally pulled over for driving with an obstructed window.Britton was arraigned before District Judge D. Neil McEwen and placed in Mercer County Jail on $100,000 bail.

7:55 p.m. Friday — An elderly Ford City man had major injuries following a two-vehicle accident on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.Oscar Stephany, 84, told police he got lost while driving south and wanted to use an emergency crossover to turnaround.But Stephany failed to see a Jeep driven by Sean Cousins, 20, of Kittanning approaching from behind as he went to turn at the crossover.The collision resulted in major damage to both vehicles, according to police.Both Stephany and Cousins, who had moderate injuries, were taken to Allegheny General Hospital.Neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
