Patrick (Pat) Cress
In loving memory of our beloved husband & father Patrick (Pat) Cress who passed away 6 months ago today.
Six months ago I lost my best friend, my lover, my rock and my husband to a long and hard battle with alpha-1 antitrypin disease.
Pat was born in Butler on March 1, 1964 and passed away at 9 a.m. on January 22, 2010 at Concordia Good Samaritan Hospice Unit.
On November 4, 1985 we awere married and became one. (Theresa Graham). He made me the happiest girl in the world!
God blessed us with four children, Jason Cress, our oldest, lives in Valencia along with our future daughter-in-law, Stephanie Lehnerd. Our middle child, Carol Cress, attends college at Scared Heart University in Connecticut and our peanut, Allyson Cress, lives at home. Our son, Benjamin Aaron, is up in heaven with his daddy.
Pat is survived by two brothers, David Cress of Fenelton anf Jame Cress of Butler; and one Sister , Mrs. Shawna Stewart of Eau Claire. He was preceded in death by one baby sister. His parents Ralph Eugene Cress and Mary Ann (Yock) Cress, are also deceased.
Pat worked many jobs in his short life. He worked for the Butler Eagle from 1984 to 1987 as a pressman. He also proudly served in the U.S. Army Intelligence in Germany from 1987 to 1990. Pat worked at Eat-N-Park from 1990 to 1993 and at Magnetics from 1993-1999. Pat was employed at A.K. Steel as a pittman at the melt shop form 1999 to 2010.
An honest family man, Patrick spent most of his time caring for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Everyone who met him will miss his quick humor, generosity and love for life. Patrick loved to golf and fish. He was a huge Penguins and Steelers fan. He will surely be missed by all.
I love you, Patrick forever and ever. Thanks for 24 wonderful years. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
Love Sparky
Today makes 6 months, Baby, I miss you more and more each day.
Our kids daily remind me that you will live through them...and I'm sure your friends down in the melt shop at A.K. Steel, are always thinking of you too. I wish you could see how much they loved you!
Eveyone says love hurts, but that isn't true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Envy hurts. Everyone gets these things confused with love, but in reality love is the only thing in this world that covers up all the pain and makes someone feel wonderful.
Love, is the only thing in this world that does not hurt. I'll never regret our love, I just hurt so bad knowing it was cut short, I wanted a million more years with you!
Love your Sparky
