Joseph and Reta Tommaney of Mars celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Stone Mansion in Wexford.

The former Reta Curren married Tommaney on May 8, 1955 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Fair Haven, Vt.

They have five children, Sheila Pappas of Mars; Linda Bridger and Kevin Tommaney, both of Saegertown; Timothy Tommaney of Irwin; and Kathleen Tommaney of Valencia. They also have eight grandchildren.

Tommaney is retired from Allegheny Ludlum, where he worked as a metallurgist. He belongs to St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars.

Mrs. Tommaney is a homemaker.
