Patricia J. Hagan
Patricia J. Hagan, 86, of Parker, passed away early Thursday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Patricia was born in Indiana, Pa., on April 27, 1930, to the late William Wesley and Beulah McGaughey Mottern.
She was United Methodist by faith.
She married Alby E. Hagan on Nov. 22, 1953, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2012.
Patricia was a graduate of the former Parker High School in 1948. Pat worked for three years at the former Moyer Level Works and two years at the former Glass Containers, both at Parker.
Mrs. Hagan was the first female to serve on Parker City Council and also served as Democratic Committee Woman in Parker City for 22 years. She was a charter member of the Parker City VFD Ladies Auxiliary and was a longtime member of the former Ladies Auxiliary of Parker VFW Post 7073. She served with local Cub Scout programs, football boosters, Girl Scouts and Little League activities in her community.
Patricia is survived by two daughters, Deb (Mark) Jackson of Emlenton, and Tina (Rick) Heeter of Jonesboro, Ga.; one son, Alby Hagan of Parker; her seven grandchildren, Raelene (Rodney) Bowen of Ohio, Emily (Justin) Bartley of Parker, Jonathan Heeter of Virginia, Briton Hagan of Nevada, Justin Heeter of Georgia, Ashley (Rob) Scott of Emlenton and Season (Brad) Weiss of Aliquippa, and her nine great-grandchildren: Kendra, Shawn and Zachery Bowen of Ohio, Rider T. Scott of Emlenton, Aleydis Hagan of Pittsburgh, Gabriel Hagan of Nevada, Joe and Jase Bartley of Parker and Gavin Weiss of Alliquippa.
She is also survived by a sister in-law Helen Hagan of Parker as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and late husband, Pat was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kathryn A. Hagan, who both passed in January 2008; two brothers, William Edward and Robert Eugene Mottern and one brother-in-law, Bob Hagan.
HAGAN — Friends of Patricia J. Hagan, who passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Buzard Funeral Home in Parker.
Another visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Rev. Ken Hughes, a longtime family friend and pastor, will be officiating.
Interment will be at the Perryville Cemetery near Parker.
