JEFFERSON TWP — Concordia Lutheran Ministries has six new directors on its board, elected during the annual meeting Nov. 13.

They are:

• Dave Alsing of Irwin, member at Calvary Lutheran Church, Murrysville, retired engineer for Westinghouse Electric

• Michael Fiffik of Franklin Park, member at Ascension Lutheran Church, McCandless Township, partner at Welch, Gold and Siegel law firm

• Virginia Humphrey of Penn Hills, member at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Oakmont, retired Lutheran Church secretary

• Stephen Johnson of Oakland, member at First Trinity Lutheran Church, Oakland, senior vice president and general counsel for Consol Energy

• James Limbaugh of Cabot, member at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, partner at Miller, Limbaugh & Conley law firm

• James Wolf of Mount Lebanon, member at Peace Lutheran Church, McMurray, retired global banking executive.

Twenty-seven churches were represented and 59 delegates were in attendance at the meeting, in addition to current board members and staff leadership. Special recognition was given to Christie Scott, New Brighton resident and member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Freedom, who will finish her term on the board at the end of 2011.

PITTSBURGH — Robb McKinney of Cranberry Township, founder of Bridgewater Wealth, has completed his collaborative law training through The Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania.The two-day course was sponsored by the regional association, but was held in cooperation with the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Although generally attended by legal professionals, this course is also beneficial to professionals in the financial, mediation and mental health/psychological fields.

Sears Holdings says that its third-quarter loss widened, dragged down by weakness in Canada, declining consumer electronics sales and softer clothing sales at Kmart.The operator of Sears and Kmart stores reported Thursday that it lost $421 million, or $3.95 per share, for the period ended Oct. 29.Removing a pension expense and other items, Sears lost $2.57 per share.Revenue slipped 1 percent to $9.57 billion from $9.68 billion, missing Wall Street’s estimate of $9.63 billion.The Hoffman Estates, Ill., company said revenue at its Sears stores open at least a year dipped 0.7 percent and fell 0.9 percent at its Kmart stores. The figure dropped 7.8 percent for Sears Canada.
