STATE COLLEGE — Police are searching for a man who shot pepper spray inside a restaurant, prompting customers to gasp and forcing the eatery to close for hours.

Police say the man sprayed the can inside the packed Original Waffle Shop about 11:15 a.m. Thursday. Police said the man drove away in a dark-colored SUV with a Pennsylvania license plate. The first three letters of the plate are ENN.
