Eagles victors in offensive battle with DuBois

DUBOIS — Grove City High and DuBois Area combined for nearly 1,000 yards of offense Friday night.

The yardage was close. The score was not. The Eagles had a 21-point lead by halftime and remained unbeaten with a 45-7 high school football victory.

Tyler Dagres completed 5-of-7 passes for 268 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Erik Record caught TD tosses of 80 and 86 yards in the third quarter for Grove City's final touchdowns.

Dagres also rushed for 104 yards, including a 32-yard score.

Wes Phipps scored Grove City's first points of the night on a 7-yard run and had 93 yards rushing and 69 receiving in the contest.

DuBois quarterback Sean Sleigh completed 20-of-33 passes for 303 yards, but only one touchdown. He threw interceptions to Eagles defenders Justin Fulkerson, Mason Depeal and Foster Reznor.

Grove City had 552 yards of offense while DuBois had 408.

Now 9-0, Grove City hosts Moniteau next Friday.
