Butler PoliceFriday — Police obtained a felony arrest warrant for Robert A. Morrow, 23, no known address, who is accused of using his father’s bank card to withdraw $540 from the owner’s account. The victim, Vernon Morrow of Butler, told police he never gave permission to his son to use the card.The elder Morrow discovered the suspected fraud when he recently checked his bank account activity, according to court documents.Robert Morrow allegedly used his father’s card four times between March 30 and April 1. He is charged with a felony count of access device fraud.

Butler Twp. Police10:05 p.m. Tuesday — Jolena E. Harbison, 37, of Emlenton, Venango County, was found with a suspected drug pipe in the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital. She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.Monday — Brandon J. Keene, 29, of Parker was charged with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop about 9:20 a.m. March 22 at Butler Memorial Hospital on Hospital Way.Police charged Keene with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and driving with a suspended license-DUI related.Monday — Police charged Buddy D. Schoch, 74, of Butler with drunken driving in connection with a traffic stop for going over the posted 25 mph speed limit by 16 mph about 4:50 p.m. March 16 on Home Avenue. He is charged with DUI and speeding.1:14 a.m. April 3 — Ryan A. VanDorick, 23, of Abington, Montgomery County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on New Castle Road and Main Street in Slippery Rock. A breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.169 percent, or more than twice the state’s 0.08 percent legal limit.VanDorick is charged with driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lanes, and failing to use signals.

State Police, ButlerWednesday — Jacob D. Turner, 36, of Butler was arrested on charges he broke the law when he tried to buy a gun Dec. 4 at Sportsman’s Supply in Summit Township.Turner was arraigned on charges of unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm, a felony. Additionally, he is charged with a misdemeanor charge of making a false statement to authorities.He was released on his own recognizance following arraignment.5:07 p.m. Tuesday — A traffic stop in Buffalo Township for a suspected impaired driver netted police 45 stamps bags of suspected heroin and a small amount of cocaine.Police stopped the suspect, a 27-year-old Worthington man, on Route 28 north about one mile north of Exit 17. He was later taken for a blood test. Charges are pending results of lab tests, according to a police report.Police did not identify the suspect.2:30 a.m. Sunday — A 26-year-old Slippery Rock man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 8 in Brady Township.Friday — William J. Scott, 39, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop last month in Butler. Troopers pulled over his car March 22 for having a broken side taillight.Police said they smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from the car and they also noticed a drug pipe in the center seat. They later found a pill bottle containing two oxycodone pills and marijuana.Scott, who admitted having drinks after work, failed field sobriety tests. A breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.224 percent, near three times the state’s 0.08 percent legal limit.In addition to driving under the influence, Scott is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, driving without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle, careless driving and a seat belt violation.

State Police, Kittanning10:05 p.m. Monday — An 18-year-old Kittanning woman, who police did not identify, was caught with suspected LSD following a traffic stop on Route 268 in East Franklin Township. Police said drug possession charges are pending lab tests.

State Police, MercerWednesday — A thief stole two large cast-iron planters in front of Oak Hill Cemetery in Sandy Lake Township. The theft happened between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.9:40 p.m. Monday — David L. Kline, 24, of Volant, Lawrence County, swerved his pickup truck to avoid a deer and struck a tree along Jervis Road just south of Sunset Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County. Kline was not hurt but his pickup had to be towed.1:45 p.m. April 5 — Joseph S. Berringer, 31, of Grove City was caught with a hypodermic needle at the Grove City Medical Center emergency room where he was taken after suffering an apparent heroin overdose at his undisclosed workplace.He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
