ADAMS TWP — It only is a training exercise, it is not a police assault.

The township police department has a training session underway today at the farmhouse on Mars School District property at 1746 Three Degree Road. It started at 8 a.m., the department said.

A number of emergency vehicles may be present during this training exercise and officers will be firing “practice” rounds. Because of that, district officials remind parents and the Mars community that this is not an actual emergency.

Also, Doc’s Way, the access road connecting Three Degree Road to Mars Area Elementary School, will be closed today during this session. Access to Mars Area Elementary School will be available via Route 228.
