2:51 p.m. Monday — Destiny Stemmerich, 20, of Slippery Rock was charged with retail theft after allegedly attempting to steal $113 worth of items from Home Depot.

Dec. 24 — A 16-year-old Butler boy was charged with retail theft after he allegedly switched price tags on items in Kohls.

Friday — Nathan D. Druschel, 26, of Zelienople struck a guide rail along Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township after he lost control of his Honda S2000 due to an icy bridge. Druschel suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.

10:25 p.m. Thursday — Jason Callahan, 42, of Hillards is facing charges of DUI and resisting arrest after he crashed his vehicle along Shields Road in Mercer Township.

Callahan’s vehicle left the road and struck a bridge, causing it to roll over into a ditch. Police found Callahan allegedly under the influence of alcohol and attempted to arrest him.

However, he resisted and a struggle ensued. Callahan was ultimately detained and taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with a minor leg injury.

He also is charged with careless driving, reckless driving, driving with a DUI suspended license, failure to stay right, failure to wear a seat belt, driving at an unsafe speed, no insurance, unregistered vehicle and displaying his registration plate on the wrong vehicle.

Dec. 26 — Michael Crouch, 49, of Saxonburg reported his credit card was used multiple times in New York. Charges to the card totaled $5,700.

9:46 a.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Lee A. Link, 22, of Butler struck the back of a car driven by Abigail L. Lieb, 19, of Pittsburgh along Route 422 in Shenango Township, Lawrence County.

Link was cited for following too closely.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]

3 p.m. Thursday — Raymond McAllister, 45, of Erie is facing charges of terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person after he allegedly pointed a loaded pistol at a vehicle with two teenagers in it.

Anthony Grucza, 19, and Jonathan Brown, 19, both of Erie, reported to police that McAllister pointed the gun at their vehicle when they attempted to pass his vehicle on the highway in Lake Township, Mercer County. They also told police that McAllister was driving aggressively toward other vehicles along Interstate 79.

Police stopped McAllister and found the loaded gun on the front passenger seat.

McAllister was arrested and taken to Mercer County Prison on $25,000 bail.

11:30 a.m. Wednesday — Someone broke into an unoccupied home on Patton Road in Sandy Lake Township, Mercer County and damaged the property.

7 a.m. Thursday — Carol L. Felix, 46, of Harrisville reported someone stole a license plate from her vehicle while it was parked at the Emlenton Truck Plaza in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.
