State Police, Butler
4:32 p.m,. July 1 — A Slippery Rock man was flown to the burn unit at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh after spilling hot grease on his lower extremities. Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Department Chief Ryan Hanchoski said the department was dispatched to a structure fire at the man’s home on Centerville Pike. No fire was visible, but the man had been cooking and spilled the grease on himself in the living room while trying to carry it outside to dispose of it, Hanchoski said. He said he does not know the man’s condition.
1:07 a.m. June 16 — Amanda Brommer, 42, of Butler was arrested on a warrant and drug charges, and drug charges were filed against Dakota Hinchberger, 28, of Sharpsville after they were found in her vehicle at 1100 Center Ave. in Butler Township.
9:33 p.m. June 28 — A brush hog mower on a farm tractor driven by Lucas E. West, 28, of Slippery Rock east on Franklin Road in Slippery Rock Township stuck into the driver’s side front wheel of a car traveling west driven by Elaine A. Tonelli, 63, of Forestville. The tractor had no headlights and the brush hog was partially in the westbound lane when the accident occurred. Police said the accident occurred after sunset and Tonelli couldn’t see the tractor. The accident is under investigation.
July 1 — Trinity Desmond, 13, of Oakland Township was reported missing after last being seen at 11:30 p.m. June 30 at her home on Beulah Road. The girl is described as white, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 150 pounds with brown buzz cut hair and blue eyes. Police ask anyone with information about the girl to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.
6:52 p.m. June 28 — A Honda CRV driven by Ricky V. McElravy, 72, of Chicora traveled off of Butternut Road in Fairview Township, struck an embankment and rolled on to its hood. He was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital with suspected minor injuries. The Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department and Karns City Regional Ambulance Service also responded.
8:39 a.m. June 8 — A sport-utility vehicle driven by Lindsay T. Harms, 35, of Pittsburgh south in I-79 in Muddy Creek Township struck another southbound vehicle driven by Michael R. Rossman, 54, of Polk, causing disabling damage. No one was injured. The accident is under investigation.
9:54 p.m. June 25 — A pick-up truck driven by Lisa S. Warren, 55, of Petrolia, north on Route 38 in Oakland Township stuck a cow that was on the road. Warren suffered minor injuries. The car was disabled.
