Sarver

Donna Sarver died Wednesday at her home in Moorpark, Calif., after a brief illness.

Donna was born in Butler, Feb. 23, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Paul P. and Loretto C. Liebler Schnur.

She was retired. Her employment had included co-ownership with her late husband, Dave Sarver, of Sarver Auto Center and Towing. She had been employed for years as executive secretary for the Catholic Charities organization as well as A-Penn Oil and American Hardware.

She was a member of the Holy Cross Parish in Moorpark, as well as the St. Peter and Holy Sepulcher churches, while a resident in Butler.

Donna started the Red Hat Club called the Red Rascals in Moorpark and remained its queen until her death. She was a member of the Moorpark Women's Fortnightly Club and a former member of the Penn Township Woman's Club. She also was active in the Catholic Daughters of America, where she served as a secretary and as a regent.

Surviving are her two daughters, Deanna Sarver Kubit of Moorpark and Dana Sarver Neubert of Centennial, Colo.; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard Schnur of Butler and John Schnur of Philipsburg, Pa.; two sisters, Jean Schnur Sloan of Longmont, Colo., and Nancy Schnur Daye of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Sarver.

<B>SARVER</B> — At the request of Donna Sarver, who died Wednesday, a celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. July 6 at the home of her brother, Richard Schnur, 129 Second St., Butler and at 1 p.m. July 19 at the home of her daughter, Deanna Sarver Kubit in Moorpark.
