Anna Kadlubek ran a time of 25.55 seconds in the 200-meter dash to shatter her own school record at the Mercer County Track and Field Invitational in Grove City on Friday.

Kadlubek finished first in that race and also ran a leg on the Rockets' 400-meter relay with Audrey Kura, Maryann Ackerman and Ali Popovec that finished fifth with a time of 52.35.

The Slippery Rock girls 3,200-meter relay team of Samantha Frazier, Lexi Doerflinger, Marie Bickel and Ashley Shea finished fourth with a time of 10 minutes, 50.98 seconds.

Audrey Kura was fifth in the 100 (13.24).

On the boys side, Zach Mazor placed third in the 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles with times of 16.78 and 43.13, respectively.

Kaleb Kuhn was also third in the 800 with a time of 2:06.85.

Tom Tedesco was fourth in the 100 (11.52) and the boys 3,200 relay team of Colton Cullem, Charlie Dugo, Victor Zahn and Kale Kuhn) also finished fourth at 8:50.84.

Tedesco added a fifth-place finish in the 200 (23.80), Ken Bickel fifth in the 3,200 (11:11.19) and sixth in the 1,600 (4:54.29) and the boys 1,600 relay team of Tyler Arblaster, Callem, Mazor and Tedesco) came in sixth at 3:43.57.

Softball

Jessica Dunn hit two home runs and drove in three as Karns City remained red-hot with a 7-2 win over Clarion Friday afternoon.

It's the Gremlins' 14th consecutive win.

Ashley Fox tripled and drove in two runs and Rossi McMillen also tripled for Karns City (14-1).

Marra Patton got the win, striking out nine in seven innings.

Shane Thompson scattered four hits over five innings as Slippery Rock rolled to a 12-2 victory against Oil City.

Colin McCune had two singles and two RBI for the Rockets (9-5).
