Happy Birthday Tom! Less than a year ago plans were in the making for a huge celebration of friends, family and extended family, for today, your 80th birthday, but that was not to be. In July 2014 you were diagnosed with Lymphoma and even though you had excellent medical care, your body could not fight against the disease and so the Lord brought you peacefully into his arms in early December, 2014. We all miss you so much.

Each new day brings memories of the wonderfully kind, considerate and loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, uncle,friend and neighbor that you were. We remember your contagious laugh, your incredibly warm welcomes to visitors, the time spent in conversations with friends from the past, your insatiable search for a bargain, your father-son relationship with Louie, the Airedale terrier who could make you furious but mostly brought you sheer happiness and don’t think that we’re not still jealous of your many victories over the $1 slots.

Life continues to be very painful without you, but knowing that you are in the watchful presence of the Lord and so many family members and good friends brings joy and contentment to us.

So have a wonderful birthday dear Tom and know that we are all sending you love and prayers on your special day.
