John, Carlquist

Sharyn John and Douglas Carlquist, both of Boyers were united in marriage by District Justice Peter Shaffer at 5:30 p.m. May 29 at the Days Inn in Butler. A reception followed at the Days Inn.

The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene John. Parents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Eskel Carlquist. The bride was presented for marriage by her nephews Matthew Smith of Washington, D.C. and Micah Smith of Boston.

The honor attendant was Kathy Tinker of Emlenton. The bridesmaids included Chris Luce of Erie, Kendra Carlquist of Latrobe, Kristen Rugg of Boyers and Diane Claypoole of Grove City.

Performing the duties of best man was Raymond John of Boyers. Groomsmen included James Luce of Erie, Douglas Carlquist of Latrobe, David Tinker of Emlenton and Dennis Claypoole of Grove City.

The bride attended Moniteau High School and works for US Investigations Services in Boyers.

The bridegroom attended Academy High School. He is a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper and is a self-employed Disaster Relief Contractor.

Following a honeymoon at Niagara Falls and Canada, the couple is making their home in Boyers.
