Live Christmas tree recycling will be available in three locations in Butler County.

The trees must be free of tinsel and other decorations. Contact each site for more information.

Here are the sites:

----Back to Nature, 840 Mercer Road, Butler, 724-0287-7921. Drop off is free, but pickup service is available for a fee, depending on mileage, through Jan. 31.

--- Seneca Landfill, 421 Hartmann Road, Evans City, 724-625-9000. Drop off service only with $5 fee through Jan. 31. Ask for directions at the scale house when entering site.

---- Slippery Rock Community Park, 320 N. Main St., Slippery Rock, 724-794-8180. Drop off only with no fee through Jan. 8.

---- Additionally, some municipalities offer curbside pickup. Residents should call their municipality or waste hauler for details.
