William R. “Bill” Marsh, 46, of Cabot walked through the gates of Heaven to be in the arms of his Lord and Savior unexpectedly and peacefully at 11:06 p.m. Saturday at the Excela Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, while surrounded by his family.

He was born to Rollin Marsh and Betty Keller Marsh on April 7, 1964, in Mount Pleasant.

Bill dearly loved his pets, Baker, Carmen, Winston, Sugar, Max, Pearl, Harley, Molly, Candy, Daisy, Cotton, Savannah, Trixie, Isaac, Jasper, Oscar, Peanut, Pebbles, Simon, Precious and Phoebe. He enjoyed writing poetry and singing, and he always had a home remodeling project going on.

Bill had a kind, loving and giving heart. He was always there for anyone who needed him. He will be sadly missed by his wife, pets, friends and family.

Bill attended Southmoreland High School, and obtained an associates degree in business law from Penn State.

He owned and operated Bil-Dom Construction and was also employed by Ryan Homes of Pittsburgh.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon Kay (Karch) Marsh, who he married June 5, 2009; three sons; his mother and his father; three sisters; one brother; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

<B>MARSH</B> — Friends of William R. “Bill” Marsh, who died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Mike McDeavitt, assistant pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church of Saxonburg, officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Center, 165 Old Plank Road, Butler, PA 16001.Information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
