Anyone interested in acquiring an FCC technician license can attend a joint study period from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 11 at the Blind Association, 322 N. Cedar St. Testing will follow the study period.

The technician class license is an entry-level choice for most new ham radio operators. A $15 fee will be collected before the test is administered.

Notices of local upcoming news should be received by the Community Department one week in advance of the event. Entries should include the name and phone number of the person providing the information and be sent to: P.O. Box 271, Butler, PA 16003, or community@butlereagle.com.
