THE CHAMBER of Commerce has voted in its new board of directors for 2013.

They are: Becky Morella, Kim Reuss, Gary Basilone, Judith Bernhard, Clete Scalo, Jim Boltz, Bruce Goodman, John Laslavic and Lisa Hunt.

Also, Steve Carpenter, Kent Clifton, Mike Hall, Patty Bittle, Dan Penberthy and Andrew Chiapusio.

Also, Hal Martin, Todd Harris, Kiersten McCort, Donna Korenich, Jerry Walkins and Joe Weis.

Morella will serve as the board chairman, Laslavic will be vice chairman, Reuss will be secretary, Goodman will be treasurer, Basilone will be foundation chairman, Boltz is chairman-elect and Scalo is past chairman.

THE CHAMBER, which has 1,000 members, covers three counties, including Butler, and 16 municipalities, and sponsors 245 events a year.

PARKER — Crews for Central Electric Cooperative this month will begin line clearing and right of way maintenance on electrical lines originating from its Nectarine Substation in northwest Butler County and southwest Venango County.CEC's contractor, Hazlett Tree Service, will do the work. CRANBERRY TWP — Westinghouse Electric announces that Jeff Bradfute is the new vice president, global nuclear fuel engineering.Bradfute will oversee fuel hardware design, development and testing of fuel for pressurized and boiling water reactors, and technology development for nuclear physics, thermal hydraulic and fuel performance methods.He most recently was director, product engineering, for nuclear fuel.Bradfute has had positions in Westinghouse core engineering and customer operations, where he handled fuel contracts with U.S. and European customers. He also was a senior engineer at the South Carolina Electric & Gas V.C. Summer plant for three years.He joined Westinghouse in 1989 after serving six years in the Navy.

WASHINGTON — U.S. companies boosted their orders in November for manufactured goods that reflect investment plans even though total orders were unchanged for the month.The Commerce Department says factory orders were flat in November, compared with October when orders had risen 0.8 percent. Durable goods, everything from autos to steel, rose 0.8 percent while nondurable goods fell 0.6 percent, reflecting falling petroleum prices.

NEW YORK — PNC Bank has warned customers its websites are getting hit with high traffic consistent with computer attacks.In an e-mail sent to nearly 5 million customers, PNC Bank says the traffic is meant to cause delays for legitimate online banking customers.PNC Bank assured its customers that its website uses encryption to protect customer information and accounts.From staff and wire reports
