12:12 a.m. Wednesday — Nathan Cornetti, 21, of Butler was arrested after allegedly violating a woman's protection order when he threw a snowball at her house on Lyon Avenue.The alleged victim, Amanda McCune, immediately notified authorities, telling police that the suspect was just at her home. Officers en route there, spotted Cornetti and detained him.A pat-down search turned up marijuana, rolling papers and a set of brass knuckles, according to court documents.Cornetti is charged with possession of a prohibited offensive weapon, and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Butler Twp Police6:40 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by a 17-year-old Butler girl, who police did not identify, crashed into an embankment on McCalmont Road. The girl told police she lost control of the car when she slid on ice. Police said she was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Wednesday — Diane M. Weiland, 56, of Butler was charged with drunken driving and leading police on a one-mile chase Nov. 28. Police said the pursuit began about 12:30 a.m. when officers spotted Weiland driving up the berm on New Castle Road.The officers tried to pull her over, but Weiland refused to stop, police said. Eventually, she stopped but not until traveling onto North Duffy Road at Cornell Drive.Weiland is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving under the influence and a lane violation.

6:35 a.m. Dec. 12 — Audrey M. Crofutt, 58, of Saxonburg lost control of her car and struck a utility pole at Moraine and Driftwood drives in Jefferson Township.Noon Dec. 10 — An unknown thief stole a white, Chrysler PT Cruiser from a Suburban Lane home in Slippery Rock Township. Police believe a tow truck was used in the crime.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.4:47 p.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Benjamin C. Schneider, 37, of Pittsburgh and a car driven by Patricia M. Turner, 53, of Renfrew collided at Route 228 and Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township, Butler County. Snow-covered roads were blamed for the accident. No charges were filed, a police report said.4:28 p.m. Saturday — Bryan D. Ross, 22, of Lyndora was hurt when the SUV he was driving struck a ditch and rolled onto its side after sliding off snow-covered Dinnerbell Road just west of Frazier Road in Jefferson Township, Butler County.Ross, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

2:24 p.m. Saturday — Two people were hurt, one seriously, in a one-car crash in Clearfield Township, Butler County. The wreck happened when Nanjundayya Chikkamath, 22, of Indiana, Pa., lost control of the car on snow-covered Route 422 at County Line Road and slammed into a guardrail.Kavya Dambal, 23, of Pittsburgh, one of four passengers, suffered a “major injury,” according to a police report. Shahbaz Ahmed, 44, of Pittsburgh, another passenger, suffered minor injuries. Both injured persons, who were wearing seat belts, were taken to ACMH Hospital near Kittanning.
