1:33 p.m. Monday — Cars driven by Cheryl Noblit, 51, of Butler and Richard Clauser, 71, of Butler Township collided on Center Avenue near Marvin Avenue.Butler Twp Police10:35 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Jeffrey Achezinski, 18, of Butler crashed into an embankment and culvert along Litman Road before rolling over, crossing the road and hitting a guardrail. The crash closed the road for about 45 minutes.Police said Achezinski, who suffered only minor injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

10:15 a.m. Wednesday — Sport utility vehicles driven by Jennifer Canil, 40, of Gibsonia and Jennifer Fraser, 34, of Butler collided at Route 8 and Sylvan Spring Lane in Middlesex Township. Canil, who was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries, was cited for a stop sign violation.Wednesday — Zacherl's Tavern and Restaurant at Butler Road and Water Street in Saxonburg was vandalized between 2 and 7 a.m. Police said a door and window were smashed at the business.6:49 p.m. Aug. 3 — A car driven by Rebecca Kunselman, 31, of Cranberry Township and a minivan driven by Bruce Matthews, 48, of Weston, Conn., collided on Route 19 in Portersville. The collision forced the car into a parked SUV.Police said Kunselman and two children, ages 6 and 8, riding in her car, suffered minor injuries.

1:40 p.m. Tuesday — A minivan driven by Kathryn Quimby, 48, of Rimersburg struck a tree along Route 68 in the area known as Huey Curves in Toby Township, Clarion County.Ashley Hilton, 19, of Rimersburg, a passenger in the van, suffered minor injuries. Police said Quimby faces a charge of driving too fast for conditions.

Wednesday — Shane Nolan, 34, of Butler is accused of twice violating a protection from abuse order this week.Most recently, Nolan at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday allegedly made a telephone call to Nikki Nolan, 33, at the woman's Route 68 home in Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County.The phone call came after Nolan at 6:40 p.m. Monday confronted the woman at Sugarcreek Community Park in Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County. Police said the defendant grabbed Nikki Nolan's cell phone and broke it.

Wednesday — An unknown burglar stole about $3,000 in collectible currency and collectible state quarters in a break-in between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Fox Road home of Pauline Young in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
