12:27 p.m. Sunday - Martin Ruby Jr., 51, faces a simple assault charged for allegedly hitting a 15-year-old girl during a domestic dispute at his Zeigler Avenue home.2:48 a.m. Sunday - Barbara Reichard, 25, of Buffalo Township was arrested for driving under the influence on Boyd Drive.

4:13 p.m. Sunday - A car driven by Martin Collingwood, 76, of Emlenton struck a utility pole along Route 38 in Venango Township. The car, which sheared off the pole, continued through a yard and struck two trees, stopping just 3 feet from the corner of a house. Collingwood, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Titusville Area Hospital in Venango County.3:07 a.m. Sunday - The engine compartment of a Ford truck, driven by Ronald Dodd Jr., 25, of Karns City, caught fire on Bruin-Queenstown Road in Parker Township. Dodd was able to stop and safely get out of the truck. Bruin volunteer firefighters were called and extinguished the fire.3 a.m. Sunday - Brian Cairns, 20, of Karns City was seriously injured when the car he was driving struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Fir Road in Fairview Township. Cairns, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. His condition was not known this morning.Sunday - Troopers found numerous suspected marijuana plants growing in the Beaver Dam Road area of Cherry Township.Sunday - A stereo and prescription medication were taken between 1 and 10 a.m. from an unlocked vehicle on Bullcreek Road in Jefferson Township. Bonnie and Erin Simpson of Butler own the stolen property.Sunday - A 2003 Yamaha Raptor all-terrain vehicle, black with blue ghost flames, was taken between 1 and 7:30 a.m. from the 100 block of Seventh Street in East Butler. John Williams of East Butler owns the ATV.6:30 p.m. Saturday - Shawn Urey, no age given, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Saturday - Someone unsuccessfully tried to take a Bobcat skid loader parked on St. Wendelin Road in Summit Township. The skid loader, owned by the state Department of Transportation, was parked for an upcoming road project. The would-be thief or thieves were able to drive the skid loader a short distance before abandoning the theft scheme.11:47 a.m. Friday - Bruce Locke, 34, of Muddy Creek Township was arrested for driving under the influence after his motorcycle stalled and fell over on Route 4005 at the Route 422 West off-ramp in Muddy Creek Township.In addition to DUI, Locke is charged with driving without a license and driving with a previously suspended license, driving without insurance and driving with an expired inspection. He was arraigned on charges and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.Friday - About $260 in stereo equipment was taken between 3 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday from the trunk of a car at the Beaus Drive home of Richard Baker in Muddy Creek Township.Thursday - About $100 worth of cherry, oak and maple wood was cut at a Youngs Lane home in Cherry Valley. The theft occurred between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the property owned by Earl Young of Emlenton.Thursday - An undisclosed amount of electrical wire was taken in a theft at the Jamisonvile Road home of Ernie Baxtor in Center Township.Thursday - A red and beige, 45-hp diesel 1962 Ford tractor, 800 series, was taken between June 20 and Thursday from a Holl Road home in Winfield Township.

10:10 p.m. Saturday - Michael Ohler, 42, of Gibsonia, Allegheny County was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle struck a concrete barrier and an embankment on Route 422 in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.1:51 a.m. Saturday - Eric Jack, 34, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Mushroom Farm Road in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County.1:10 a.m. Saturday - Kelly Pezzana, 24, of Manorville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Water Street near Old Route 66 in Manor Township, Armstrong County.12:45 a.m. Saturday - John Heffelfinger, 45, of Worthington was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 422 and Bear Street in Worthington.12:40 a.m. Saturday - Marcus Mellish, 28, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 422 in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County.10:50 p.m. Friday - Robert Watterson, 49, of Manorville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 422 and County Line Road in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County

9:03 p.m. Friday - A minivan driven by Karl Nelson, 36, of Pittsburgh and a vehicle driven by Walter Montgomery, 68, of Grove City collided on Route 208 at the Interstate 79 North off-ramp in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Montgomery and a 16-year-old Grove City boy, a passenger in his vehicle, suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
