6:58 a.m. Thursday — At least one person was taken to the hospital after a four-vehicle wreck on the Picklegate Bridge at Hansen Avenue.Icy conditions on the road possibly played a role in the crash, according to police, who did not immediately file an accident report. The names of the drivers were not known this morning.An unidentified occupant in one of the vehicles reportedly suffered a leg injury and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.7:37 p.m. Wednesday — Gary Rochina, 52, of Valencia was hurt when he lost control of his pickup truck and struck a large oak tree along Saw Mill Run Road.5:18 p.m. Wednesday — Two people were hurt in a two-car crash on Route 8, just north of Vogel Road. The accident happened when a vehicle driven by Angela M. Michel, 29, of Butler collided with a vehicle driven by Joseph Smith, 42, of Butler.Both drivers were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries.Police cited Michel for illegally passing stopped traffic in the medial lane.
5:08 p.m. Thursday — An Allegheny County teenager was hurt when she crashed and flipped her sport utility vehicle on Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township.Angelina M. Hernley, 19, of Bethel Park lost control of the SUV on the road and struck a ditch and tree stump. The vehicle flipped onto its driver's side.Hernley, who was wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. Police said she was cited for driving too fast for conditions.4:40 p.m. Wednesday — Corey J. Hilliard, 21, of Slippery Rock is accused of violating an 18-year-old woman's protective order after he allegedly sent a harassing text message to her while she was at a home on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township.5:30 p.m. Oct. 15 — Shawn P. Ruck, 45, of Butler was hurt when he lost control of his motorcycle in Summit Township. Ruck's cycle fell onto its left side and slid on Linwood Drive ending in a driveway just east of Grossman Drive.Ruck, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. Police cited him for not wearing required protective equipment, driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle and careless driving.
Oct. 18 — Satara Fleming, 24, of Pittsburgh was charged with receiving stolen property in connection with a theft this summer at the Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. Police said they found clothing stolen from Old Navy and Gap in Fleming's car on July 30.
