2:18 a.m. Wednesday — Jessica M. Masdea, 25, of Lyndora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a three-vehicle wreck on Roosevelt Boulevard.

The crash happened when Masdea’s car hit the front of a parked car, which was pushed over a curb and into a yard, a police report said. Her vehicle then drove into the side of another parked car.

Wednesday — Stanley E. Fair, 40, of Butler was charged with drugged driving in connection with a crash last month in the 400 block of Oliver Street. Police said Fair was driving a car about 9:30 a.m. June 21 that hit a pickup truck parked on the side of the road.

After hitting the first truck, according to court documents, the suspect allegedly tried to drive away but ended up backing into another pickup. Officers got there and suspected Fair was impaired. He subsequently failed field sobriety tests and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.

Police last week received toxicology results, which showed Fair had amphetamines and barbiturates in his system, documents said.

He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license- DUI related and driving without insurance.

Wednesday — Police filed drugged driving charges against Elijah A. Huellen, 27, of Prospect stemming from a traffic stop at 11:22 a.m. June 26 at West New Castle Street and Seventh Avenue.

Officers, suspecting Huellen was on drugs, took him to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. On July 8, police received the toxicology report indicating the defendant had numerous drugs in his system.

Among the drugs found in his system, according to court documents, were metabolites of cocaine and methadone, and anti-anxiety medication.

In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, Huellen is charged with driving with a suspended license.

Wednesday — Richelle Lee Rice, 46, of Butler was charged with DUI stemming from a traffic stop at 10:48 p.m. June 21 on West Boyd Avenue. Officers smelled a “strong odor” of alcohol coming from Rice when they spoke to her.

A breath test, court documents said, showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.164 percent, more than twice the state’s 0.08 percent legal limit.

1:41 a.m. Sunday — Alexa L. Bacho, 21, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI after her car struck another car parked on South Monroe Street near McClain Avenue. A breath test showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.18 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

7:11 p.m. Saturday — Bradley J. Newcamp, 29, of Butler was arrested after he was found passed out against a wall with a syringe on his lap in the 300 block of North Washington Street. A search turned up an empty stamp bag of suspected heroin in his cargo shorts, according to court documents.

Police said they also found two bags of suspected heroin in his wallet.

Newcamp is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

4:15 a.m. Thursday — Derek E. Morter, 27, was arrested after allegedly assaulting his wife during a domestic dispute at their apartment in the 500 block of West Cunningham Street. Morter is charged with simple assault. He is free on $5,000 bail.

9:52 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Michael A. Anderson, 28, of West Sunbury struck a utility pole in the 400 block of East Jefferson Street. He told officers that he became momentarily distracted after the ash of a flicked cigarette came back into the window and landed on him.

4:39 a.m. Wednesday — Kevin L. Schnur, 29, of Butler three times in a three-hour period was caught outside a home in the 500 block of Mercer Road. Officers nabbed him in the home’s backyard after he showed up there the third time.

Schnur is charged with loitering and prowling at night, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

6:34 p.m. Tuesday — Bret Conaway, 25, of Butler lost control of his car when it hydroplaned on rain-soaked Route 422 just west of the Lyndora exit and struck a Jersey barrier head-on.

4:57 p.m. Tuesday — Vehicles driven by Ryan S. Saeler, 35, of Pittsburgh and Timothy Kelly, 48, of Gibsonia collided at Morton Avenue and McQuistion Road. Police cited Saeler for a stop sign violation.

1:01 p.m. Monday — Erika McNany, 38, of Butler was hurt when her car was rear-ended in a two-vehicle crash on Route 68 at Eberhart Road. McNany was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

The other driver, Haley J. Shreve, 19, of Butler, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

1:46 p.m. Saturday — Three people were hurt in a two-car collision on North Main Street Extension. Both drivers, Sydney S. Gilbert Jr., 92, and Richard Dickson, 54, both of Butler, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Dickson’s wife, 57-year-old Marlene Dickson, a passenger in his vehicle, also suffered a minor injury. Police cited Gilbert for not yielding the right of way.

4:49 p.m. Friday — A three-vehicle crash left one person injured on Route 422. Police said Elizabeth C. English, 25, of Butler caused the wreck when she tried to pass another vehicle at the on-ramp from the Lyndora exit.

English’s car struck a vehicle driven by Gary Burke, 45, of Sandy Lake, Mercer County. Burke’s vehicle rolled over in the collision. Afterward, police said, English’s vehicle struck a car driven by Adolph Dahl, 27, of East Brady, Clarion County. Dahl’s passenger, Susan McNeil, 50, of East Brady suffered an unknown back injury.

Police cited English for disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and improperly entering an intersection or highway.

1:53 p.m. Monday — Tyrone M. Johnson, 31, of Rimersburg was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Clarion Township. He had no identification and gave troopers a bogus name after being pulled over, a police report said.

Police charged Johnson with false identification to law enforcement authorities, driving with a suspended license and driving without a license. He was placed in the Clarion County Jail on the criminal and nonsupport warrants.

Wednesday — Police are seeking the unknown owner of a mastiff dog that was found injured on Interstate 80 under the overpass at the Clintonville exit. The dog, a brown female, was taken to the Franklin Animal Clinic for treatment.

The clinic posted pictures of the dog on its Facebook page. The owner is asked to call the clinic at 814-437-5768. The facility is at 1623 Pittsburgh Road in Franklin.

[naviga:h3]State Police, New Castle[/naviga:h3]

1:03 a.m. Wednesday — Michael P. Klingensmith, 40, of New Castle was arrested after allegedly assaulting a 31-year-old woman at a home in the 3500 block of Copper Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The alleged victim, Kristen Hart of New Castle, suffered minor injuries to her face and both arms.

Klingensmith was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Lawrence County Jail on $5,000 bail.

Friday — A 49-inch LG television was stolen from a home on Cooper Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Police said the owner knows the suspect, who they did not identify.
