Two injured in Sunday crash

BUTLER TWP — Police are investigating a Sunday evening collision that left two people injured.

According to a statement by Butler Township police, a vehicle driven by John Marchyshyn, 51, of Butler ran a red light causing a vehicle driven by Charlotte Moore, 68, of Butler to collide with the side of Marchyshyn’s vehicle.

The incident occurred at Whitestown and Duffy roads at about 7:05 p.m.

Moore was transported by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital and Marchyshyn was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. His injuries were described as serious.

No further information is immediately available.
