Union baseball falls in playoffs
The Union baseball team’s offense managed just three singles in a 10-2 loss to Clarion in a District 9 Class A first-round playoff Tuesday at Clarion County Park.
The Bobcats plated six runs in the bottom of the first inning to take control of the game.
Kane McCall started the game and pitched three innings, taking the loss for the Golden Knights (10-8).
Also in a first-round playoff held in Potter County, A-C Valley fell to Coudersport, 10-0, in six innings. No other details were available.

The District 9 semifinal playoff between Moniteau and Brookville was postponed Tuesday due to heavy rain. It will be played at 4:30 p.m. today at McKinley Field in Brookville.
