CRANBERRY TWP — A man was hospitalized after he crashed his motorcycle into the rear of another vehicle around 6 p.m. Friday on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Cranberry Township firefighters said traffic on the westbound lanes of the turnpike was slowed around 5:45 p.m. near the 26.2 mile marker due to a separate minor accident.

While traffic was slowed, a man riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle rear-ended another vehicle.

The rider was conscious as he was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for suspected wrist and ankle fractures.

Traffic was restricted while both crashes were cleared. Traffic reopened to two lanes about 7 p.m.
