Butler Church of the NazareneMusic for the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service at Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will be provided by Chrisann Green and Krystal McIndoe. Children's church will be directed by Deb Shutak.The new adult Bible class studying the Book of James, "Trial and Temptations" will be held at 9:45 a.m. Sunday.There will be no Adult Wednesday Worship this week.The Pittsburgh District's Sunday School Ministries Workshops at the Mount Chestnut Nazarene Center, 177 North Road, will be held July 20. Local church delegates are to register at 12:30 p.m. Workshops will be held from 1 to 4:30 p.m. A Sunday school rally will be held at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Randy Calhoun from St. Peter's Harvester Church of the Nazarene of St. Louis, Mo.

Christ Community U.M.All Church Vacation Bible School will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler Township. A light dinner will be served, followed by Bible stories, games, crafts, singing, and an archeological dig. Members are encouraged to wear blue.The Mission Project for the event will benefit Project Hope in Zelienople. Totes of toiletry items will be prepared and distributed at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. A list of needed items is in the July newsletter. Child care will be available for children age 3 and younger.The Youth Group will gather at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church for a summer meeting.Donations are now being accepted for the purchase of Sunday School classroom television/DVDplayers for use with the fall Live BIG curriculum.Volunteers are needed to assist the residents of the Lowrie House assisted living facility with scheduled activities. Christ's OutreachTom Walker, Vicki Palmer and Laurie Heberling will provide music for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Avenue.Children's Church will be available for children age 3 through grade six during the 7 p.m. contemporary service Saturday.Labels from Campbell Brand Products are being collected to benefit the Sun Valley Indian School in Arizona. The Price Family will deliver the labels this summer. Labels can be sent to the church office or placed in collection cans near the main entrance.The Vacation Bible School Committee will meet at 9:45 a.m. Saturday to distribute invitations throughout the neighborhood.Family Camp Meeting will be held July 23-30 at the Mount Chestnut Nazarene District Center.

Covenant LifeThe band The Switch will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at Covenant Life Church, 220 New Castle Street. The event will also feature guest speaker the Rev. Andrew Bails from the Church at the Heights. The concert is open to students in grades six through recent high school graduates. An offering will be collected.The youth group will host a car wash and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Sam's Club. Proceeds will benefit youth attending summer camp programs.

Covenant PresbyHymn Sing Sunday will be held at the 10 a.m. Sunday service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.The Covenant Cupboard Food Bank is requesting donations of cereal during July. Baskets to receive the donations are in the Jefferson Street entrance hallway.

Faith Fellowship AllianceMembers of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faithway-Fared Drive, will meet at 6 p.m. Friday in the pavilion behind the church for dinner and an evening of games. Meat and dinnerware will be provided. Participants should take a dish and drink to share.

First BaptistFirst Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will host its annual all-church Sunday school picnic Saturday at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, 130 Elliott Lane, Slippery Rock.The church will be among congregations participating in a junior camp Monday through July 22 at the Baptist camp. The camp is open to children in grades four through six from churches in the Association of Independent Baptist Churches of Western Pennsylvania.

First English LutheranAhealing service will be held at noon Aug. 13 at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St.

New Life Christian MinistriesNew Life Christian Ministries will hold an outdoor worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday at 127 Knoch Road, the site of the church's future home. Tents, covered seats and nursery care will be provided. North Main Street Church of GodA free Concert on the Lawn featuring the men's barbershop chorus, The Lords of the Castle, will be held at 7 p.m. today on the north lawn of North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N.
