PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates claimed right-handed pitcher Ashton Goudeau off waivers Wednesday from the Colorado Rockies.

Goudeau, 28, made four appearances with the Rockies in 2020 and was on their Opening Day roster. He was 3-3 with a 2.07 earned run average and 91 strikeouts in 16 starts with Class AA Hartford in 2019.

Infielder Will Craig was designated for assignment to make room for Goudeau on the 40-man roster.
