NEW STANTON — A woman and her 8-year-old son who were shot to death while they were sleeping have been laid to rest.

Monday’s funeral for Dana Remaley, 46, and her son, Caleb, was held at St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church in New Derry.

Her son, Jacob Remaley, 14, remains in custody on first-degree murder and criminal homicide charges in the shootings Wednesday at the family’s New Stanton home.

He’s charged as an adult.
