Butler PoliceMonday — Colin S. Kelly, 35, of Butler was charged with hit-and-run stemming from a crash last week at Chestnut and Brady streets.The other driver, Zachary Zrimsek, called police after the wreck about 8:50 a.m. Jan. 20. Zrimsek told officers he was westbound on Brady Street when another car ran a stop sign at the intersection and struck his vehicle. The unknown driver did not stop.Police eventually tracked down Kelly, who is charged with hit-and-run and a stop sign violation.

Butler Twp. Police8:42 p.m. Monday — Jonathan S. Stariat, 40, of Butler was caught allegedly huffing a can of compressed air in the parking lot at the Butler Commons' Walmart.Police charged Stariat with inhaling toxic releasing substances, illegally possessing certain solvents, public drunkenness and driving with a suspended license-DUI related.9:41 a.m. Monday — A 17-year-old girl was hurt when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a guardrail at High Street and Bredin Avenue. A family member took the girl, who police did not identify, to Butler Memorial Hospital with apparent minor injuries.

State Police, ButlerMonday — John R. Harvey, 24, of Clinton Township was charged with drunken driving after troopers last month found him sleeping in his still-running pickup truck stopped on a road in Jefferson Township.Police said that about 12:30 a.m. Dec. 20 they came upon Harvey's pickup on Route 356. The ignition was on and the truck, which was locked, was in the drive position.The troopers were unable to awaken Harvey after knocking on the windows and yelling at him. Concerned both for Harvey's well being and other motorists' safety, police broke the passenger side window to get into the truck.Harvey finally woke up. He looked at one of the troopers and then drove off. The officers chased the truck for up to one-half mile before Harvey pulled over at the Bonniebrook Road intersection.He failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the barracks for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.236 percent, or nearly three times the state's 0.08 percent legal limit.Harvey is charged with driving under the influence, making an improper stop, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and reckless driving.Monday — Police filed felony and other charges against Tanni K. Milligan, 24, of Butler in connection with a 2014 drug investigation in Butler.Milligan is accused of selling eight bags of heroin for $100 to a police informant on Oct. 7, 2014. The alleged controlled drug buy, conducted by the police vice unit, occurred at Maple and Chantler avenues.She was arraigned on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.Milligan is in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail as well as several unrelated bench warrants.2:07 p.m. Friday — A Westmoreland County teenager lost control of his sport utility vehicle and crashed into a tree before ending up in a ditch along Victory Road just south of Dinnerbell Road in Jefferson Township. Mario A. Bortoluzzi, 19, of Irwin was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Jan. 20 — Jeffery M. Barber, 40, of Butler was arrested on felony charges stemming from last year's sale of a sport utility vehicle at his Summit Township business Xtreme Offroad Center on Brinker Road.Police said Barber in June 2015 sold a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to a Maryland man for $15,000, but failed to deliver the title.Barber was arraigned on felony charges of theft by deception and receiving stolen property, and a summary charge for no delivering the title. He was released on his own recognizance following arraignment.

Grove City Police11:42 a.m. Saturday — Amanda L. Kamerer, 26, of Grove City allegedly used her sister's identification following a traffic stop in the borough. Kamerer is charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities and driving with a suspended license-DUI related.

State Police, Mercer4:52 p.m. Tuesday — Keith E. McFadden, 45, of Grove City suffered an apparent injury after his pickup truck struck a large tree on Cranberry Road just north of Gasper Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.Police cited McFadden for careless driving, disregarding traffic lanes and driving with an open container of alcohol.4:10 p.m. Monday — Pickups driven by Todd R. Harry, 35, of Reno, Venango County, and Troy Weisberg, 45, of Grove City collided at Leesburg Station Road and New Castle Mercer Road in Wilmington Township.Sunday — An identity thief used a Lycoming County man's credit card account information to make $529 in purchases at the Premium Outlets on Route 208 in Springfield Township. A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects.
