Senior guard Josh Martin and senior center Maurice Lewis-Briggs tallied 18 and 16 points, respectively, as Slippery Rock University’s men’s basketball team crushed visiting Lake Erie College by a score of 75-55 at Morrow Field House on Saturday.

It was the sixth consecutive win for The Rock (6-1).

Slippery Rock managed a 44-26 edge in rebounds, led by nine apiece from Kelvin Dixon and Antonio Butler.

The Green and White host Gannon University at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Women’s BasketballSRU snapped an 18-game losing streak by defeating host Lourdes University 68-57 on Saturday.Lourdes is an NAIA school located in Sylvania, Ohio.D’Asia Chambers paced The Rock’s effort with a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds.Also scoring in double figures were Aidan Geise (12), Rebecca Olkosky (11) and Jazmyne Frost (10).SRU (1-5) hosts Gannon at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
