ADAMS TWP — The former Kline farm on Mars-Evans City Road will become a housing development in two phases.

Steven Victor received tentative approval from the township supervisors on Monday night for Kingsridge, a 95-acre housing plan near the Breakneck Creek Regional Authority.

Victor said 23 lots would be developed in the first phase, and 37 lots in the second phase. All lots will be half an acre, and the plan will have 42 acres of green space.

It only will include single-family homes.

Supervisor Tom Franceschina said the township planning commission asked Victor to include a playground, which he did.

Victor said a sports field also would be added later.

In other action, the supervisors approved buying a new plow truck for $120,000.

The purchase will include a salt spreader and plow. the truck is expected to arrive for use this winter.

Supervisors said bidding the truck was unnecessary because it is being bought through the state piggyback program.

The supervisors also received gratitude and a bottle of water each from Sturbridge Lane resident Shelley Titchen for helping facilitate the extension of a water line to homes in her neighborhood.

The supervisors last week met with water authority officials in the interest of connecting the Sturbridge Lane area homes to a water line 2,300 feet away.

Many wells there have failed or are failing.

“Thank you so much for all your time and hard work to bring water to our development,” Titchen said.
