Sandra M. Bates, 59, of Lancaster Township, died Thursday at her home.

Born Dec. 14, 1946, in Millvale, she was the daughter of the late Ralph G. and Goldie Parot Perry.

She was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church, Zelienople. Since 1974, she was a member of the Ladies of the Moose Harmony Lodge 957. She also belonged to the Silver Sneakers exercise class.

She was a collector of Native American memorabilia, enjoyed swimming in her pool at home and taking care of her houseplants. She also was an avid "American Idol" fan.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond E. Bates Sr., whom she married July 7, 1964; two daughters, Terri L. Blythe of Albuquerque, N.M., and Kari Sue Eberhardt and her husband, Jeffry, of Prospect; two sons, Raymond E. Bates Jr. and his wife, Dawn, of Butler and Ross A. Bates of Harmony; and a brother, Larry Perry of Philadelphia. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Brandi and Corey Detweiler, Brittany and Shane Bates, Shanda Eberhardt, Dakota Blythe and Chance and Chase Eberhardt; and two great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Ashlee.

<B>BATES </B>— Friends of Sandra M. Bates, who died Thursday, April 27, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Bertoti, her church pastor, officiating.
