Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., is hosting a temporary exhibit to help celebrate Chinese New Year. The exhibit, sponsored by the Kai family of Pittsburgh, remains on display through April 23. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, except holidays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8 accompanied by an adult. Guided tours are available with advanced notice for no extra charge. Zelienople Historical Society is sponsoring an EMA/Ameritours trip to Washington, D.C., featuring visits to the Holocaust Museum and the Bible Museum, on May 11 and 12. Email info@ameritours.com for cost information.

Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, has tours that include the 1809 main museum building and wine cellar and a neighboring early 19th century house, both built by the communal Harmony Society, and a Mennonite log house, offered from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays and major holidays. PITTSBURGH

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 700 Frank Curto Drive, has opened the Spring Flower Show: Scents of Wonder. The conservatory is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and until 10 p.m. Fridays. Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., features the exhibit “American Spirits: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition.” The History Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. National Aviary, 700 Arch St., presents “Amazing Amazon” highlighting the beauty of the world’s rain forests, and the birds and wildlife native to these habitats. The Aviary is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aviary admission is $14 for adults and $13 for senior citizens and children ages 2 to 12. Some activities cost extra. Children’s Museum, 10 Children’s Way, Allegheny Square, is hosting “The Pigeon Comes to Pittsburgh! A Mo Willems Exhibit” through Sept. 2. A Happy Birthday, Mister Rogers! celebration will be March 17 to 20. Free museum admission will be offered from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 20. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except holidays, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays through March 31.
