March 29 — Shaun Doerr, 28, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife, Robin Grove, 35, on three occasions between March 24 and 28 at the couple's Wyle Avenue home. Doerr was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bondDistrict Judge Kelley Streib, meanwhile, granted Grove a temporary protection from abuse order, stemming from the alleged domestic violence.

9:46 a.m. Thursday — Richard David Wallace Jr., 23, of Valencia was arrested on a warrant issued from Maryland for allegedly failing to comply with the terms of that state's sexual offender registration law. Wallace is in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bond, and is awaiting extradition to Maryland.5:30 a.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Dennis Book, 21, of Slippery Rock skidded on ice-covered Route 308 in Marion Township, struck a tree and ignited in fire. Book managed to get out safely. Marion Township firefighters put out the blaze, which destroyed the vehicle.4:30 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Patrick Finley, 24, of West Sunbury crashed over an embankment and rolled over two times along Route 308 in Clay Township. Finley, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out the rear window of the car. He was taken with unknown injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.Wednesday — About 300 Nintendo video games, 400 compact discs, a safe and cordless telephone were taken between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday in a burglary at the Moorehead Road mobile home of Brian Patterson in WinfieldTownship.6:33 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by a 17-year-old girl, who police did not identify, and a mini-van driven by William Bowser, 55, of Slippery Rock collided at Routes 8 and 58 in Harrisville. An unidentified16-year-old girl riding in the car suffered unknown injuries.Monday — Six molding blocks and other accessories valued at about $28,000 were taken in a burglary between March 17 and Monday from the Chicora Block concrete block plant on West Slippery Rock Street in Chicora.Sunday — A red Dodge 1500 pickup truck was stolen between midnight and 10 a.m. from the Old Route 422 home of Robert Turney in Clearfield Township. Police said the vehicle was later found with front-end damage on Craigsville Road in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County.March 29 — Benjamin Daniels, 23, of Mount Laurel, N.J., is accused of stealing and forging nine checks that belonged to his roommate, Justin MacKenzie, at their Cameron Drive home in Slippery Rock Township.Police said Daniels between March 15 and 29 cashed the checks for $845. The defendant is charged with theft and forgery.2:30 a.m. March 16 — Amelin Lulic, 32, of Seven Fields was arrested for driving under the influence on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Police also cited Lulic for speeding, for allegedly driving 92 mph in a 65 mph speed limit.

7 p.m. Wednesday — A mini-van driven by Deborah Sliker, 39, of East Brady crashed over an embankment, became airborne and slid about 42 feet on its side on Route 68 near Butternut Road in Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County. Police said Ronald Sliker, 40, of East Brady, a passenger in the van, suffered moderate injuries.6:25 p.m. Wednesday — Two 19-year-olds were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Route 28 in Buffalo Township, Butler County. Charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia are Mehran Hedjazi of Monroeville, Allegheny County, and Katlyn Kutsch of Sarver.
