Sarvey 75th anniversary
Marlin D. and Myrtle Sarvey of Prospect will celebrate 75 years of marriage with an open house at 2 p.m. Sunday at the family home, 433 W. Main St., Prospect.
Sarvey married the former Myrtle Wolfe on Sept. 24, 1940, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler.
They have five children, Marlin F. Sarvey of Prospect, Shirley Bilowich of Butler, Peggy Goehring of Evans City, Ruth Fisher of West Liberty and Tammy Stewart of West Sunbury.
They also have 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Sarvey is the former owner and founder of M.D. Sarvey Plumbing and Heating.
He is a member of Masonic Victory Lodge 694, Lorraine Commandery, Royal Arch, Shrine-Syria Temple and Butler Caravan.
Mrs. Sarvey is a homemaker and was secretary of M.D. Sarvey Plumbing and Heating.
She is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Good Samaritan Shrine, Prospect Lady’s Club and Butler Card Club.
The Sarveys are members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Prospect.
