2:55 p.m. Sunday — A vehicle driven by Deborah Gravatt, 43, of Slippery Rock rear ended another vehicle at North Main Street Extension and Belmont Road. Gravatt, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries, was cited for careless driving. Kadesha Clark, 21, of New Castle, was driving the vehicle struck from behind.1:33 p.m. Sunday — Vehicles driven by Karen Katz, 46, and Richard McCandless, 58, both of Butler, collided at Whitestown and South Eberhart roads. McCandless' vehicle, after the collision, struck a utility pole. He was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries. Police cited Katz for a left-turn violation.Sunday — Avehicle driven by Matthew Malecky, 19, of Butler struck a row of bushes along Route 8 South near Zanotti's. Police cited Malecky for careless driving.1:13 a.m. Saturday — Kevin Lee Walker, 41, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on New Castle Road.State Police, Butler1:16 a.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Michael Parks, 40, of Ellwood City crashed into a tree at Routes 488 and 19 in Portersville. Parks, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at Ellwood City Hospital. Parks was cited for multiple traffic violations.Sunday — A 32-inch RCA flat-screen television and an Aspire ZR1 laptop computer were stolen in a burglary at the Keasey Road home of Nathan Smock in Winfield Township.Police said the burglar got into the home through an unlocked door. Smock owns the TV, valued at $800; Brian Hartle of Saxonburg owns the computer, valued at $400.4:53 p.m. Thursday — Amie Ann Alwine, 21, of Oakland Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence in the Smith Grove Campground on Herman Road in Summit Township. Police also charged Alwine with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and careless driving.
5:55 p.m. Sunday — An Ohio man is accused of assaulting a trooper following a suspected drunken driving crash at Scrubgrass and Springfield Church roads in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County.Trooper Matthew Roth arrested Raymond Lee Foster Jr., 42, of Masury for DUI, and took him to Grove City Medical Center in nearby Pine Township. Police said while at the hospital, Foster allegedly kicked Roth in the chest.The defendant was placed in the Mercer County Jail, but not before he put up another fight with prison officers.District Judge Larry Silvis later arraigned Foster on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, two counts of obstructing the administration of law, simple assault, disorderly conduct, DUI, not stopping at a stop sign and an open container violation.Foster is free on $40,000 bail.
3:31 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Steven Joseph Battaglia, 45, of Ellwood City was stopped in traffic on South Main Street near the Medicine Shoppe when it was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Judith Lorenzo Rey, 45, of Allison Park, Allegheny County. No injuries were reported.
